Ed is a Cleveland native who earned his journalism bachelor's from Ohio University. He started out as a newspaper reporter and editor, first in Lynchburg, Virginia (home of Jerry Falwell's church), and later for the statewide Gannett paper in Delaware. Along the way he spent some time on loan to the Life section of USA Today. For for the past 15+ years he's mostly written and edited magazines for universities, including 10 years at the remarkable Notre Dame Magazine. From 2006-2008 he was director of publicatons and communications for the University of Nevada in Reno and director of marketing and communications for Nevada's Sanford Center for Aging.
