My Life Before Widgets and Wikis

I've been a career newspaper reporter for fifteen years, working almost entirely at The San Diego Union-Tribune where I covered border issues from Tijuana, Mexico. I also wrote about the transition to democratic governments in Nicaragua and El Salvador through a one-year journalism grant from the Miami-based Inter American Press Association. These days I'm exploring new worlds that I never knew existed through this master's program on online communities at USC. I expect to get lost now and then, but that's to be expected on any long journey in foreign lands.
